Surprise visitor to Andy’s second degree

The members and visitors of Victoria Lodge No 4629 had a surprise when Assistant Provincial Grand Master Kevin Poynton made a private and unannounced visit. Naturally, Kevin was made very welcome.

The lodge was opened in the second degree and the brethren witnessed an excellent ceremony in which Andy Pope was passed to the degree of a fellow craft Freemason. It was obvious that a great deal of work had gone into the ritual beforehand. The ceremony was delivered in a calm and enjoyable manner by all the officers concerned.

The working tools were presented by the senior warden George Shields. Andy was joined by two other fellow crafts Freemasons to attend on the address after passing, given in style by junior warden Frank Tuzio.

At the close of the lodge the brethren retired to the Peter Browne Suite for the festive board which proved to be a special and enjoyable evening.
